Welcome to bearlocksmith.com (the "Site"), operated by Philly Bear Locksmith ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing our Site, booking an appointment, or using our residential, commercial, or automotive locksmith services, you ("Client," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service.

Please read them carefully before requesting any services. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our Site or services.

 

1. Scope of Services

Philly Bear Locksmith  provides emergency lockout assistance, automotive unlocking, key cutting, duplication, and lock repair services in Philadelphia, PA, and surrounding metro areas. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

 

2. Authorization and Proof of Ownership

To ensure legal compliance and public safety, we require proof of identity and ownership (or legal right to occupy/use) before performing any lockout or key-cutting services.

  • For residential/commercial properties: You must provide a valid government-issued ID and a lease, deed, or utility bill matching the address.

  • For vehicles: You must provide a valid driver's license and vehicle registration or title matching your identity.

  • We reserve the right to cancel any service immediately without liability if you cannot provide satisfactory verification.

 

3. Pricing, Estimates, and Payments

  • Estimates: Any pricing provided over the phone, email, or through the Site is a preliminary estimate based on the information you provided. Final pricing is determined on-site by the technician after evaluating the lock type, vehicle make/model, and complexity of the job.

  • Pricing Variations: As stated on our Site, prices vary by vehicle make/model and home lock specifications. Additional fees may apply for after-hours, holiday, or extreme weather dispatches.

  • Payments: Payment is due in full immediately upon completion of the service. We accept cash and major credit/debit cards.

 

4. Cancellation Policy

If you book an emergency or scheduled service and wish to cancel, you must notify us immediately. If our mobile technician has already been dispatched and arrived at your location before you cancel, a standard Dispatch/Trip Fee will be charged to cover travel costs and labor.

 

5. Limitation of Liability and Damage Waiver

  • Inherent Risks of Emergency Entry: You acknowledge that emergency lockout bypass procedures (such as picking, shimming, manipulating, or drilling locks, or using air wedges on vehicles) carry inherent risks of minor cosmetic or mechanical damage to locks, doors, frames, windows, or weather stripping.

  • Pre-existing Conditions: Philly Bear Locksmith  is not responsible for any damage resulting from pre-existing lock malfunctions, frozen mechanisms, rust, or poor structural integrity of your doors or vehicle components.

  • Maximum Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Philly Bear Locksmith  total liability for any claims, losses, or damages arising out of our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for that specific service. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (such as lost profits or missed appointments due to lockouts).

 

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

All services and products (locks, keys, fobs) are provided "as is" and "as available." While we guarantee a professional standard of workmanship and strive for a perfect key fit, we make no express or implied warranties regarding the longevity of your existing hardware after a bypass or repair.

 

7. Governing Law

These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal actions arising from our services must be filed in the courts of Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.

 

8. Changes to Terms of Service

We reserve the right to update, change, or replace any part of these Terms of Service by posting updates to our Site. It is your responsibility to check our Site periodically for changes. Your continued use of our services following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
